My stay at The Avanti houses was not at all what I expected... I was looking for an inexpensive, easy-to-get-to location where I could just toss my stuff and find a bed for an evening. Instead, I found a very welcoming property reminded me of staying with a relative or friend and being welcomed into their home. The house itself is remarkably decorated with amazing examples of car memorabilia; the common areas are welcoming and have lots of seating and lots of options. The kitchen is well-stocked, with water and snacks out on the counter. Options for simple cooking (microwave, air fryer/toaster oven, single burner, crock pot) are available along with a full complement of cooking vessels and utensils, I was able to find a fork for my carry-out treat easily. I stayed in Room 18 (Avanti 2) and found it perfect for my needs. The room was clean, furnished with a comfortable chair and bed and decorated with tiffany-style lamps in addition to continuing the car theme. There were plenty of rugs on the hardwood floor, and the attached bath was convenient and comfortable. You can tell that the owners have put a lot of thought into setting up a welcoming and convenient experience for their guests. I wan't sure what I was getting into when I made the decision to stay at Avanti House, but I'm very glad I did! I highly recommend this property, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future!

The Avanti Houses are both wonderful little pieces of history for any car enthusiast. Don and Cassandra are very welcoming and understanding, and the rooms are outstanding. To top it all off, you're right next door to the Studebaker National Museum, it's really a treat to stay in these houses. I appreciated the time Don took to speak with me about his collection and the history of the area, wonderful people and a great stay.

I am so glad I canceled my reservation at a motel and booked here. It's been a very enjoyable experience. Clean, everything there you need, mple parking, everything went so smoothly. Less than 10 mins. to Notre Dame where I attended a conference. Highly recommended!

This place was delightful! I have never stayed in a 'bed and breakfast' before and it was great! I really didn't have any interaction with anyone which is what I prefer. Besides it being an affordable accommodation, it was a really fun museum too! I'm not a car person really, if you are into auto history then you'll love it even more. I will definitely try to stay the next time I'm in South Bend!

Our stay at The Avanti House was great. We booked it as "a place to spend the night", but it became a memorable part of our trip. The room & beds were comfortable, and the shared spaces charming. The shower had a nice spray and plenty of hot water. The Wi-Fi worked well, and there were convenient outlets to charge our phones. The neighborhood felt very safe - something we're conscious of when staying in unfamiliar cities. Plenty of off-street parking. The hosts did a great job of communicating every step of the way. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Thank you for being so accommodating. We made last minute plans to stay from 8am to 3pm. My dad was able to get some much needed rest. He had surgery in the morning and had to be back at 4pm for doctor appointment. Hotels wanted to charge 2 nights. This place is reasonably priced.

This was our second time staying at the Avanti House in South Bend, IN. We loved it! My husband is a "car guy" - so he just loved all of the Avanti paraphernalia. We got to meet a fellow traveler in the comfortable living room. The location was perfect for visiting my nephew at Notre Dame. This trip we got to go through the Studebaker museum. Totally enjoyed that. Thank you for your hospitality - we will be back for sure.
